The Global Compact is a corporate responsibility initiative launched by the UN in 2000. Through the Global Compact the UN is challenging companies worldwide to promote favorable working conditions in their business, respect human rights, protect the environment and prevent corruption. Today, the UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate responsibility initiative with members in more than 160 countries.
